The work falls within the movement of abstract contemporary art with Cubist and minimalist influences. Using defined yet schematic black and white lines, I synthesize the human form into its most primal element: the face.

The gold and silver background, with variations in metallic light, is not merely a decorative support, but a symbolic field that provides majesty and spirituality, evoking both the sacred and the earthly. The deep red block, in contrast, introduces a sense of weight, intensity, and drama, reminding us that identity is marked by dualities: light and shadow, gold and flesh, the eternal and the ephemeral.

The gestural yet controlled strokes allow the work to dialogue with the tradition of portraiture, but from a destructured and contemporary perspective, where the face no longer seeks to represent physical individuality, but rather the fragmented essence of the human condition.
